![]() One of the more common complaints with Bandle City is how strong its card generation is. Yordle in Arm’s Verdict of Change: While it’s still likely the card itself gets changed (whether it jumps to six mana, only increases to +3/+3 if you satisfy the multi-region requirement, or the multi-region requirement increases), the mana discount on Gleaming Lantern is the most egregious enabler for YiA and is likely to have its discounting effect nerfed in a way. This little guy gives a TWO MANA DISCOUNT?! ![]() Gleaming Lantern is the newest card to shatter this balance as a two mana discount on a three health card starting on turn three for Fae cards allowed aggressive boards to go wide quickly. While it’s fair to expect a nerf to Yordle in Arms (whether it be to mana or increasing the amount of regions to achieve the +4/+4 buff), the more likely nerfs are to all the mana discounts which allow for easier access to swarming. ![]() While decks with the ability to buff a board has historically been more fringe (Mind Meld being one of the more bonkers list when Fizz/TF was reaching a critical mass of power), its strength is only relative to how well it can swarm a board. One of the more popular builds from Bandle City at the moment is the titular Yordle In Arms cards that aim to swarm the board and then aim to boost their minions with a quick +4/+4 buff for only five mana. If he had one less health then Gnar becomes a “Gift for Ezreal” as dying to Mystic Shot, 2/x Challengers, opens him up to more counterplay before he can get going. With one less power Gnar will be less likely to take swings since units with three power and four or more health will stave off initial attacks. Gnar’s Verdict of Change: One less power or health. At six power, there’s no four mana or lower card that can survive a swing from Mega Gnar after the round changes, and that mana threshold can still deal with more expensive units for a couple of mana. Once he levels up he can pretty much remove the strongest enemy threat (which can oftentimes disrupt the enemy’s plays by having them hold off their high value units) all while being safe since he retains Quick Attack. Gnar has all of these benefits which lets him find home in multiple decks and this is without even looking at his level two form. His ability to generate Pokey Stick, Quick Attack keyword, base three health, ability to go in Bandle OR Freljord, and the only champion to gain +2/+2 on level up (while having an easy to accomplish level up condition) lets him find home in many decks in addition to being an instrumental tool to their success. GnarĪs the newest card in the list, Gnar has been the most versatile and efficient champion in the game. Within Bandle City there are a handful of major factors that have pushed the region to extraordinary levels, and here are the safest bets at which archetypes and cards will get toned down. Usually newer regions (understandably) get more love as they have less tools to use compared to other regions who have been in the game longer. If you’re a Bandle City hater it’s safe to expect a wide array of nerfs to come for the game’s newest region. Likely Changes - Nerfs Bandle City’s Reckoning ![]() ![]() This Wishlist is written a bit with more personal hopes, but also with a bit of context with what has been ailing the community, how strong these cards have been, and some changes that you could safely expect if you were a betting person. It’s more likely (if I return to it) that I do a shorter form piece describing how to best use Flash during abilities or hire a video editor to do a large project in video form.Įnough about League though, Legends of Runeterra is having its largest balance patch in a while ( with the last big balance update being back in early January). Originally I wanted my third Medium Article to be focused on being a complete compendium of how Flash interacts with every ability in League of Legends, but only after getting through all of the champions that begin with “A” I realized this was not feasible or fun for one person to do. … Please ignore the fact that I’m a Gnar abuser and already have him at Mastery 3. ![]()
